Inaugural Conference of the Irish Centre for the Histories of Labour & Class (ICHLC)

IC‘Class, Conflict and Culture’

Suggested themes include, but are not limited to, the following: labour struggles & political mobilisations; experiencing & resisting poverty; institutionalisation of children & adults; class & gender; labour & theatre;
working-class life in autobiography, literature & art; power & society; labour, class & archives; digital history; mobile labour; and transnational classes.

While the principal focus of the conference will be on Ireland, and on communities of Irish people in other countries, we are encouraging submissions unrelated to Ireland which contribute methodologically or theoretically to the study of labour and class.

Proposals and panels are invited from all disciplines and postgraduate students are particularly encouraged to apply.
