This year’s Annual Lecture will be delivered by Professor Richard Sennett. ‘The Craft of Cooperation’ will take place on Monday 26 March from 7pm-8:30pm in the B.5 Auditorium, Franklin Wilkins Building, Kings College London (Waterloo Campus). There are a limited number of tickets available for this event so book now!
A good society is created through the art of living together. Over the past few decades we have learnt to be consumers, it is now time we re-learnt the art of being citizens, neighbours and co-workers.
Richard is one of the foremost thinkers about the public realm and always challenges us to think about what being social and human means in our world today. The talk will be based on his influential and important new book Together: The Rituals, Pleasures and Politics of Co-operation.
This challenging lecture will be followed by contributions from a panel of high-profile respondents, including Lisa Nandy, MP for Wigan; Deborah Orr, Guardian Columnist; Hannah Worth, Director, Chamberlain Forum and Ed Mayo, Secretary General of Co-operatives UK.
Tickets cost just £10 waged, or £5 for Compass members/unwaged/low-waged/concessions. To buy tickets simply book online here.
Places to this event are limited so please book your place early to guarantee your attendance!
This year’s Annual Lecture is very kindly being supported by Co-operatives UK.
